Efter en dag på Ikea – inte att rekommendera när det är löningshelg, en snabbvisit hos bästa naprapaten Julie och en fikapaus hos svärisarna behöver man något snabbt och gott till middag.
Pitabröd, 8st
- 25g jäst
- 3 dl vatten, 37 grader – fingervarmt
- 1/2 tsk salt
- 1 dl grahamsmjö
- 6-7 dl vetemjöl
Blanda jäst, vatten och salt. Rör tills jästen löst sig. Tillsätt mjölet och arbeta degen kraftigt i bunken. Ta upp degen på bakbordet och knåda den i ca 5 minuter. Dela degen i åtta bitar och forma till släta bullar. Kavla ut bullarna till runda tunna kakor, ca 15 cm i diameter. Klappa in kakorna med mjöl. Låt dem vila under bakduk ca 10 minuter. Sätt ugnen på 275 grader. Grädda tre kakor åt gången på heta osmorda plåtar ca 5-7 minuter. Låt kakorna svalna på galler utan bakduk.
Servera med t.ex tacoköttfärs, grönsaker, salsasås, överbliven kyckling eller vad du känner för. Vi hade grönsaker, kebabsås, salsasås, riven ost och J hade även i pulled turkey

Pitabread, 8pcs
25g yeast
3 cups water, 37 degrees – lukewarm
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup graham flour
6/7 cup flour
Mix yeast, water and salt. Stir until yeast dissolves. Add the flour and knead the dough thoroughly in the bowl. Put the dough on work surface and knead for about 5 minutes. Divide the dough into eight pieces and shape into smooth balls. Roll out the buns into thin round cakes, about 15 cm in diameter. Pat in the cakes with flour. Let them rest under a cloth for about 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Bake three cakes at a time on hot plates unlubricated about 5-7 minutes. Let the cookies cool on a rack without a kitchen towel.
Serve with eg taco ground beef, vegetables, salsa sauce, leftover chicken or whatever you feel like. We had vegetables, kebab sauce, salsa sauce, grated cheese and J had also pulled turkey
